Sandoval, Lydia M. age 35, born in Chicago, IL, on March 12, 1970, departed peacefully and suddenly in her sleep, Monday morning on August 15th, beloved and loving daughter of Frances Sandoval Melendez (Javier), Arturo Sandoval (Rita), cherished sister of Vicente, Gina, Anna, Arturo II and the late Arturo Jr., step-sister of David, Michell L., Lisa and Michell II, dearest granddaughter of Frances Gonzales, Apolonio and Aurora Sandoval, loving niece to many uncles and aunts. Esteemed cousin of many, special friend, Abel Alonzo, preceded in death by her brother, Arturo Sandoval Jr. in 1985. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She attended many of their school and sporting events. For many years she worked as a community activist, supporting victims rights. Had worked for the City of Chicago. Recently, was working at soldier field. Visitation on Friday, August 19, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, August 20th from Alvarez Funeral Directors, 2500 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, at 8:15 a.m., to St. Pius Catholic Church, 1901 S. Ashland, Chicago for a 9 a.m. Mass. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL. For info call: 773-278-8888
