Dear Phil:
I want to express my deepest sympathy for your great loss in the passing of Lydia. As Christians we find great comfort in knowing that life on earth is followed by better things ahead, in the place Christ has prepared for all who accept Him as Saviour. In His kingdom there is no need for "cures" !!
God bless you and your family members at this difficult time.

Phil and family,
I have truly lost a wonderful sister-in-law. How saddened we all are, but she will always remain in our hearts. Great times we had in Delta with family over the years, and being able to all golf together. My prayers will continue for you during this difficult time.

Dear Phil and Family,
We did not have the opportunity to know Lydia personally. But heard much about the loving, caring and amazing person she was through your sister Marty. We know that many lives of family and friends have been diminished by her passing, but that she is now home in the arms of our loving Lord. May the memories of your shared life sustain you in this sad time and the days ahead. You are all in our prayers as we extend our deepest sympathy to you.

Phil,
It was obvious from the moment I met you both through the Sunbirds, you had a very special marriage. You complimented one another, and shared a love and respect for each other not often seen in a marriage. You took such excellent care of Lydia right to the end. Both of you went out of your way to help care for others in the same manner, especially during our fellow friend, Urban's, cancer. You have always treated your friends and acqaintences as equals. Lydia was a lovely and gracious lady, and I am confident she did pass you in the sky last Saturday afternoon on her way to God in Heaven.

Dear Phil and family, We have lost a very dear friend but we know that she is now at peace with God. Our last memory of her was the great time we had sharing your Arizona home and visiting all the beautiful places she wanted to make sure we saw. She was a very warm and caring person and we will miss her. I'll be she will find a way up there to work on her crossword puzzles and get others to join her. Love, Larry and Sharon

Dear Phil and Family,
So many here in Alabama have been praying for you during this time of loss. We entrusted Lydia to the Lord's keeping when you first told us she was ill and we know that His presence was real in her life and in her passing. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers and we will be with you in spirit during this time of laying your beloved one to rest. You have the comfort of a loving God and the love and care of friends. We love you.

Dear Phil, Todd and Mike,
Lydia was a woman full of unique interests and charged with energy for life. We always admired her for these things but mostly we admired her because she did such a wonderful job raising you boys. You should be very proud of her as she was of you. We will keep her in our thoughts and prayers for years to come. God bless you all during this sad time.
We love you,

Aloha Phil, You have been so blessed to have the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE for so many years. Lydia's citizenship has always been Heaven, and I know Heaven is sweeter today because she is finally home. I SO look forward to that Great Reunion when we are all together for Eternity. To Lydia, I say Aloha Ahui Hou! God be with you till we meet again.
To Phil and those left behind, God created tears, and you surely have reason to grieve over the loss of beautiful Lydia, but do not mourn as those who have not the hope of Heaven!!
The Lord is your Shepherd - He will take you THROUGH the valley.
Love always, Marilyn

It's hard to think that we met both Phil and Lydia when we joined the Sunbirds so many years ago... Our memories of Lydia (aside from the fun times we all had on our various flying-related outings) was that she was a truly gracious and kind person.
