Please accept my deepest sympathies..I am saddened to learn of your losses. "Uncle & Aunt Lupe" as they were known to me and my siblings were truly special people. The relationship I had with them was the closest I ever came to having "parents". The task they undertook of fostering so many children was not an easy one..heartbreaking at times I'am sure.
I think of them often and always hold a special place in my heart for the simple things they did for me. They helped mold me into the person I am today.
I still remember the first day I met "Aunt Lupe". She had come to the Department of Children and Family Services to meet me and my brothers and sister. Immediately I took to her and threw my arms around her kissing and hugging her, asking, "are you going to be my new mom!" I still remember her smile that day. And will always remember her that way.
I regret losing contact with them and never really getting the chance to tell them goodbye. I loved them
both...and don't know if they ever new what a huge difference they made in my life.
Truely,
Maria Perez Luden
