I remember when I first met you 16 years ago. You said I was the ugliest thing you had ever seen! =) From that day forward I realized that YOU were the smiling eyes that lit the face of this family. You expressed your love through laughter. You made everybody realize things are never that bad. You gave people a reason to smile again, even if for a moment. I cried when I first learned of your passing. Not only because I knew instantly how much I'd miss you, but more because of how much more your wife and kids would. Today when i think of you, I smile. I smile because I see the legacy you left behind. The strength of a family bond that will never be broken, from mother to daughter, brothers to sister and everything in between. The love that passed from generation to generation all stemmed from your veins. I know you're smiling down from up above and thanking God for the time He gave you on this earth. I miss you, Luiso and I'm sorry I never had a chance to say good-bye. So instead, I'll say, save a seat for me, I'll be seeing you again soon..
Love, your niece, Mimi

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

March 19, the beginning of spring and a week before Easter. The weather is so beautiful today. Very sunny! To my family I would like to say that I love you all truely and thank GOD for just having such a wonderful family. We all have been very strong for one another. I myself can honestly say that its been hard for me, but I know that dad wouldnt want we to be crying or feeling the way I do at times, but I can't help the way my heart feels. For those of you who read my dads guest book please feel free to drop a line at times. With that said, God bless you all. I LOVE YOU DAD,
Love Nogie =)
One smile I won't forget.! =)

My Dad.., is the most outstanding, cheerful, hard working man that I miss do deeply now and forever. My dad was just my hero all the way around. He was my protector growing up. If anyone would bother me , my dad was right there to protect me. I could count on my dad for anything. I am so grateful and blessed that I got the privilege to had shared 28 wonderful years with him. I will always remember all the laughs and good times we shared together. I know that he's in a better place now healthy and safe and , not suffering the way he was these last few years here with us. Throughout the whole experience with my dad being sick, from the first doctors appointment to him putting his name on the list for a lung transplant, he always shown me the tough side of him holding his head up high. Seeing my dad go through what he did, made me realize that no matter what challenge we face in life, to try my very best to accomplish them. Live life to the fullest and most of all taking time out for myself as well as my family. I thank him for everything he has done for me, and also my family. I miss my dad so much..!, but I know one day we will see each other again.
Thanks again Dad...!! Loving you and missing you, always your baby girl Nogie.
xoxoxo...,,, God Bless You !

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT KNEW MY FATHER, I KNOW THAT HE LEFT A MEMORY OF HIM THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER IN YOUR HEARTS FOREVER. TO ME MY FATHER WAS A LOVING, CARING PERSON TO HIS WIFE AND HIS CHILDREN. FOR ME HE WAS NOT ONLY MY FATHER BUT ALSO MY FRIEND. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEEDED HIM. I ALWAYS TRIED TO BE THERE FOR HIM WHEN HE NEEDED ME. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT REALLY KNEW HIM, YOU KNOW THAT HE WAS A TOUGH SOMETIMES STUBBORN MAN, BUT YET ALWAYS TRIED TO FIND WAYS TO BE A CLOWN.I KNOW THAT THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS OF HIS LIFE,AFTER THE DEATH OF HIS MOTHER, WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME FOR HIM PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY. THAT'S WHEN HE BECAME A FIGHTER, NEVER GIVING UP HOPE FOR A MIRACLE. HE FOUGHT OFF EVERYTHING THE DISEASE WOULD HIT HIM WITH. AS DAYS PAST HIS CONDITION WORSEN BUT HE WOULD NEVER SHOW IT. HE WOULD BE STRONG, HOLD HIS HEAD UP AND SAY: I'M O.K., I'M ALRIGHT.IN MY EYES, HE'S MY CHAMP! MY MOTHER BECAME HIS HANDS AND LEGS WHEN HE WAS WEAK AND JUST COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR HIMSELF. SHE WOULD ALWAYS TRY TO COMFORT AND LOVE HIM THE BEST WAY THAT SHE POSSIBLY CAN AND HE KNEW THAT.THAT'S WHY HE MARRIED HER, CAUSE SHE IS A "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH". A DEVOTED WIFE TILL HIS VERY END. THEY ARE MY IDOL AND MY INSPIRATION TO BE STRONG WHEN TIMES ARE AT IT'S WORST!I LOVE YOU MOM AND I LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU POPS!!
