Family-Placed Death Notice

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Mae Ellington Shephard will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock Mill Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Richardson will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. The family may be contacted at the resident of Lillie Brown Johnson f 477 Meriweather Road, Milledgeville, GA. and at the resident of Brianne Ellington Drake of 270 Awendaw Circle, Ellenwood, GA, 770-322-7811. The death of Mrs. Lucy Mae Ellington Shephard of 270 Awendaw Circle, Ellenwood, GA, Henry Co. occurred Saturday, May 24, 2003 in the Port Bridge Hospice, 4598 Barclay Dr., Dunwoody, GA. after a brief illness. Mrs. Shephard was born in Baldwin County, she was the daughter of Lillie Brown Johnson and the late Luke Millions of Baldwin County. She attended the public schools of Baldwin County and was a member of Rock Mill Baptist Church since childhood. At a very early age she moved to Atlanta, GA. where she lived for 40 years until her demise. Survivors include: her mother, Mrs. Lillie Brown Johnson of Milledgeville; children, Brianne Ellington Drake, Alphelia Ellington, Harold Ellington, Anthony Ellington, Cornelius Ellington all of Atlanta, GA.; grandchildren, Destiny Redding, Joshua Burton, Breanna Drake, Tobias Ellinton, Deandra Harris all of Atlanta, GA and Malisea Ellington of Mississippi; one brother, Frank Milline of Atlanta, GA.; one son-in-law, Kenneth Drake of Atlanta, GA.; one daughter-in-law, Tracey Ellington of Atlanta; one sister-in-law, Marie Milline of Atlanta, GA.; a host of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Peoples Funeral Home of 950 N. Clark Street, Milledgeville, GA., is in charge of final arrangements.
