Lucille Singleton Obituary

Singleton, Lucille Anna Hathaway The second of seven children, was born to Walter Eugene Jr., and Quinella Bernice Hathaway on April 10, 1925 in the vestibule of Saint Lukes Hospital in Chicago. Her formal education began at Washington Elementary School followed by Proviso Township High School and Herzl Junior College. On November 1, 1945, she married Quartermaster 2nd class Joseph T. Singleton of the US Navy and moved with him to Seattle. He predeceased her in 2007. She spent her 25 year professional career in insurance service in New York, where she retired in 1980. She is survived by sons Kenneth and Joseph Frederick, five grandchildren, two sisters, and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 2PM in Baltimore. Donations may be made to Cool Kids Campaign, 9711 Monroe St., Suite 2, Cockeysville, MD 21030 (children with cancer). Arrangements by Mitchell Funeral Services Dulaney Valley.

Ken,
It's been a long long time. I only had the fondest memories of your Mom. I worked with her at American Progressive in the 70's and remember how she always bragged about her 2 sons. I'm thinking of you and am sorry for your loss of such a treasure.
