Louise Landau Obituary

Landau, Louise H. (nee Hess), beloved wife of the late Wallace, died March 18, 2003, after an illness. Born in Mannheim, Germany, Mrs. Landau came to the United States in 1926 and attended Hunter College. She settled first in New York City and later moved to Chicago. Mrs. Landau was an Executive at Chicago Printed String Company from 1936 until her retirement in 1968. She served on the Board of Chicago Commons and the North Shore Senior Center and devoted her time to numerous charitable and philanthropic endeavors. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, at 4 p.m., at the North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield Rd., Northfield, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Chicago Commons for the Louise Landau Health Center or to the North Shore Senior Center for the Landau-Hess Wellness Center.
