Burdi, Louis J. beloved husband of the late Elizabeth E. (nee Hamilton), loving father of Tony (Kathy) Burdi, Gloria (Terry) Ryals, Anna and Louis Burdi, step-father of Catherine (the late Jerry) Bryson and Loretta (Richard) Kearns, dear grandfather of Scott and Joshua Burdi, T.J. (fiancee Bethany) Ryals, Amanda and Christina Craig, Allison (Jeffrey) Wienberg and Rachel (Michael) Boese, fond brother of Alphonse (Sandy) and the late Joseph Burdi, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m., at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks S. of Roosevelt), Lombard. Funeral Monday, 10:15 a.m., from the funeral home, to Sacred Heart Church, Mass 11 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Info 630-932-1500.

I will miss your jokes and your smile. I will miss you dropping by at all hours of the day and night. I will miss your advise and your encouragement. You were my friend, my mentor my confidant, but most of all, you were my Papa. I love you and will miss you. You and Mama can now sleep with the angels.
