Lorraine Finnery Obituary

In memory of Lorraine, whose patience with people was even greater than her talents with costumes, you made my casts at Oak Lawn and BTG such completed characters with your final touches in costuming, and your work with my girls' wedding dresses was even more fabulous, especially when dealing with a very pregnant bridesmaid! I'm truly sorry to hear so late of your passing, but I know how very much you have missed Billy, and I know that God has reunited you and holds you both in his care. To your family, my deep condolences and prayers.

Lorraine - You designed so many beautiful costumes over the decades & I'll miss you. I know you're with your son now and I wish you peace and joy.

Lorraine~ I only had the honor of knowing you for 3 years, but in that time I got to see some of your most beautiful work. You were truly a wonderful and talented person and you and your involvement with our shows will be dearly missed. My deepest sympathies go to Lorraine's family- she was a special lady. Although Lorraine is no longer physically with us, she is up there helping to make Heaven a more beautiful and fashionable place for all all when we join her one day! God Bless!

I want to express my deepest sympathy for everyone in Lorraine's family. She was a remarkable person and made the most beautiful costumes. Lorraine you will be missed!!

I met both Lorraine and Bill during BTG's Annie Get Your Gun in the 70s. My mom and I shared many good times and lots of laughs with them. Lorraine was such a talented and warm-hearted woman. She will truly be missed. My prayers are with you.

Lorriane will be sadly missed. I've known her almost all of my life and I truely enjoyed working with her - she was an artist and I'll miss her ... Cassie Dawe

You were the very first person I met in the Chicago Theatre community and you immediately made me feel welcome. I've lost track of the number of projects we worked on together and good times we shared. I will miss you and you will always have a special place in my heart. You made a difference...

My thoughts and prayers go out to Lorraine's family. I met both Lorraine and Billy long ago in theatre. We became particularly close over the last couple years with her designing spectacular costumes for both "Joseph" and "Cinderella." I will miss her very much. My condolences, Joe Collins
