Loretta Lindeman, nee Gromala, after 88 years of a wonderful, exciting and love inspiring life, passed away on Friday, Nov 12,2021 after a brief but courageous and fierce battle against dementia. Devoted daughter of the late Anna and Joseph Gromala. Loving mother of Gary, Gregory (Lee Do), Len (Jennie Sajdak) and the late Lisa Lindeman. Cherished sister of Darlene (Rick) Michalski. Step daughter to the late Olga Kucharski. Former spouse and best friend for over 25 years to the late Leonard Lindeman. Adored aunt, cousin and friend to so many loving and beautiful people who shared in her zest for life. Visitation Friday, Nov. 19,2021 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the OPYT FUNERAL HOME, 13350 S. Baltimore Ave, Chicago. Funeral service Saturday,Nov. 20,2021 with final viewing at 9:00am proceeding to the Church Our Light (ST. FLORIAN ) Parish for 10:00am Mass. Entombment (alongside her beloved Lisa) at Holy Cross Cemetery. Loretta was an early and life long supporter of the Special Olympics devoting her entire life to the many causes of special-needs children and adults. She retired from the Museum of Science and Industry after many years of accomplishments and awards. She was a passionate fan of Chicago, the Chicago White Sox and a strong supporter of the Democratic Party. Loretta was very proud of her Polish heritage. My sympathy to Darlene and all of Loretta´s family. It cannot be easy to lose your beloved sister. Like K said, she´s with Lisa now which is a good place to be.
