Loretta (Bourgery) Lemelin, 85
UXBRIDGE - Loretta Ruth (Bourgery) Lemelin, 85, of Uxbridge, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 5th 2013, in Milford Regional Hospital surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph Gerard E Lemelin; her two sons, Joseph A Lemelin and his friend Denise, Marc E Lemelin and his wife Glynis; a sister, Pauline Lesperance in Florida; many nieces and nephews. Loretta is predeceased by three sisters, Celia, Helen & Yvonne and two brothers, William & Raymond.
Loretta was born in Blackstone, MA, the daughter of Jules and Bertha Bourgery. During her working years, Loretta held many managerial positions throughout her life; retiring in 1990 from her last position at Westborough State Hospital in Westboro as a Dietary department supervisor.
She enjoyed watching the Red Sox, playing scrabble and cards.
There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass in honor of Loretta will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 15th at Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood Street in Linwood, MA. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the lower church hall following the mass. The family also invites casual acquaintances to share memories of happy times gone by.
