I was shocked and saddened to hear of Lorry's sudden death---life is not always fair, and this is certainly one of those times.

In spite of only meeting Loren recently and visiting with him a handful of moments, the evident beauty of the man, the intellect, love and honesty, integrity and love of life was all too obvious-I liked him a lot and were more time permitted, a great friendship would have evolved.
The untimely death is painful and my heartfelt condolences to all who loved him.

The world has lost a decent and honest man, not to mention an outstanding attorney. What a sweet, gentle and loving man when he spoke of his wife and children. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Mallon and Eric and Elizabeth. Loren was so proud of his children, they were very special to him. He will be greatly missed by so many. I am grateful we had the opportunity to work with an attorney of his caliber, not to mention his integrity, he was a credit to the legal community.

Lorry was one of the best friends I ever had when I was growing up. My heart is truly breaking. I can't even imagine how much his family will miss him. I will miss him, and the world will miss him, too. all my love and condolences, Nancy

I was shocked to read about Loren's sudden death in today's Sun-Times. I had a case against Loren about 12 years ago, and we remained friendly thereafter. I will remember him as an excellent lawyer, a considerate and interesting person, and an involved and loving parent and husband. My condolences to his family on his passing at far too young an age.
