I met Lonnie 17 years ago at the Villa. I considered him one of my best friends. When my husband died, he told me that life goes on, and he showed me how it went on. My sincere condolences to his family.
Lonnie, you were right when you told Denny that you could watch an OSU football game from the stadium and see it better than on TV. I will always love you and so much miss you. Tell Denny I will be with you guys later.

I met Lonnie many years ago and though I was only around him a few times in Columbus and once in Florida, I greatly appreciated his kindness towards me. He was a lot of fun and a good guy! My sincere condolences to his family and close friends.

We met Lonnie through "Martini Bob" at Villa Nova. We've spent quite a few evenings playing Euchre and hanging out at Villa. Lonnie was critical to team spirit at Relay For Life when we participated at Westerville ten years ago.
Thanks for the memories, Lonnie!

To the entire Ishler family, you have my deepest sympathy. I have known Lonnie for over 40 years. I loved him like a brother. We lost a great guy, good friend, and a person that will be remembered for a long time. Good times were had by all when Lonnie was around. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Lonnie 27 years ago when I joined Surplus and Lonnie was with Accounts Receivables. During those 27 years, we were never separated by more than an office or cubicle wall. 23 years ago, Lonnie joined me in Surplus and we became what some jokingly called us, "Sanford and Son." Lonnie helped guide Surplus from an archaic "bid only" system, through various stages to where it is today, a state-of-the-art web based system facilitating the transfer, use, sale, recycling, and disposal of The Ohio State University's excess equipment and supplies. Lonnie spoke often of his family and of his numerous friends dating all the way back to his high school days. As both a co-worker and dear friend, Lonnie will be deeply missed. My prayers and sympathy are with all the family and friends who knew and love him. I look forward to our reunion in Heaven.
