Lona Fritzinger Obituary

Lona E. Fritzinger
Lona E. Fritzinger, 80 years, of Lehighton, died June 6, 2005 in Blue Mountain Health Systems, Palmerton Campus. She was the wife of Gerald K. Fritzinger. They were married for 51 years. Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lona C. (Eisenbach) Zimmerman. She worked for Dun & Brad Street as a clerical worker. Prior to that, she worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the HDM division inspecting cannon shells, from 1944-45. She was a member of Long Run Church of the Brethren, 2218 Long Run Road, Lehighton 18235. Survivors: Surviving with her husband are daughters, Darlene, wife of Steve Scitney, in South Carolina, Doreen, wife of George Andrew, of Lehighton; sons, Willard Whiteman Jr. and his wife, Pat, in North Carolina, Wilmer Everetts Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Lehighton; brothers, Herbert Zimmerman of Summit Hill, Charles Zimmerman of Lehighton; sisters, Ruth Steigerwalt and Jean Schoch, both of Lehighton, Pearl Eisenbach; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2005 in Long Run Church of the Brethren. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church. The Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview St., Lehighton 18235 is in charge of arrangements. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
