I am forever grateful to my wonderful first-grade teacher. Mrs, Proulx took a special interest in me, set me on my path forward, and kept in touch over the years. I admire her advocacy for both animals and education. She was terrific.

My Dearest Friend Lola, I will miss talking with you so much and reliving some of the crazy animal rescues that we went on..,like the Great Blue Heron that crashed into the koi pond. Or those baby duckling in that filthy muddy swimming pool with the ripped liner that the woman wanted us to jump into to rescue to ducks. We opted to use our nets!!! And the animal shelter benefits that we took Ernie and Les to. We always had fun together. I will have you with me in thought with every rescue I go on. Will always love and miss you and Ernie. Fly free. Cheryl Seanor-Beste

I met Lola in the 80's when we both volunteered for the South Suburban Humane Society. It was wonderful working with Lola--she had such passion for helping the animals. Always gracious with a warm smile she helped many homeless and suffering pets find their forever homes.
