Schechter, Lois E. (nee Malin), age 90, beloved wife of the late Herbert, caring daughter of the late Rose Birenholtz Malin and Jacob Malin, loving mother of Ned (Eileen) and Jay (Karen McManaway), cherished grandmother of Brian, Robert, Amy (Robert Lies), Richard and Steven Schechter and great-grandmother of Kaylie Rose Schechter, also grandmother of Mindy (the late Mike) Herman, Ronni (Chris) Frey and Andy (Susan) Barnes and great-grandmother of Seth and Molly Frey, Olivia, Harrison, Erin and Graham Barnes, dear sister of Clarence Malin, sister-in-law of Elaine Schechter and Isabel (the late Lawrence) Schechter. Lois was a devoted employee of Neiman Marcus of Northbrook for 25 years. She will be missed by all who knew her. Chapel service Tuesday 12:15 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Laura Ray / Mike Herman Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, 9573 E.
