Lois Milburn Obituary

Milburn, Lois A.

Lois Arlene Milburn nee Meding (March 31, 1928 1930 - May 23, 2025), age 97, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. Cherished wife of the late Curtis Dean Milburn; loving mother of the late Mark Wilson Milburn, Rob Morgan (Amy Morton) Milburn , and Curtis Arthur (Christiane Harrassowitz) Milburn; proud grandmother of Paul Harrassowitz Milburn and Daniel Harrassowitz Milburn.

Lois was welcomed into this world by her parents, Arthur and Myrtle nee Bohnsack Meding on March 31, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. A Cub Scout Den Mother, Dinner Party Planner, WFMT Listener, Theatergoer and professionally a Librarian and Garden Designer in Wilmette, Illinois, she was a life long summer resident at Big Sand Lake in the Town of Phelps in the Northwoods of Wisconsin where she loved nothing more than wandering in the forest (in her younger days), swimming (up until a few years ago), reading or visiting with her family and friends. As curious as she was kind, she brought joy to many.

A public memorial luncheon will be held 1pm Saturday August 23, 2025 at the Big Sand Lake Club Dining Room in Phelps, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, the Milburn family requests that memorial gifts be considered to:
