Lois Hargis

(nee Williams)

WADSWORTH-NORTON Lois Hargis (nee Williams), 87, went to be with our Lord after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, June 25, 2003.

Lois was born April 15, 1916, in Wapakoneta, to Sadie and Harley Williams. She grew up in Wads worth and graduated from Wads worth High School in 1934. She resided in Loyal Oak for 50 years, and retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 30 years service. Lois be longed to Wadsworth First Christian Church, and was a 68-year mem ber and Past Worthy Matron of Chapter 102 O.E.S. An avid sports fan, she loved retirement, her flow ers, birds, and lap dogs, Sadie and Maggie. Lois was a very kind and simple woman who always had a smile and joke for everyone. She had a strength and belief that life was always good no matter how hard her life was; that living with honor had great value and pursuing life with courage was always worthwhile knowing she was a gift from God.

Lois was preceded in death by parents, Sadie and Harley Williams; husband, Varner Hargis; brother, Joe Williams; and granddaughter, Drew Dockery. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Crowe-Beech and husband, Ronald, of Wadsworth, whom she lived with; daugh ter, Karen Dockery of Ellet; six loving grandchildren, Tim (Colleen) Crowe of Massillon, Sandra Vilayseng of Orrville, Tara (Kelly) Mills of Doylestown, Bill Crowe of Wadsworth, Starr (Eric) Robinson of Rootstown and Gabe (Jennifer) Dockery of Akron; and 10 great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends TONIGHT, 6 to 9, at the Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where a Star service will be held at 6:30. Funeral service Friday, 1 p.m., at the funeral home, Rev. Martha J. Everhard and Rev. Jonathan Rumburg officiating. Interment at Wood lawn Cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth 44281. The family would like to thank Altercare of Wadsworth, Medina County Hospice, and Wadsworth-Rittman Hos pital Home Health Care for their wonderful care. (Hilliard & Mulla ney, 330-334-1501.)
