Lionell Johnson Obituary
Jr. was born on November 25, 1940 in Dante, VA, the son of Lionell D. and Anna May Fields Johnson. He worked as a machinist for Hydro-Line. Jr. was an avid golfer and loved being with his favorite pet companion "Oscar".
Jr. is survived by his sister Tammy Andrews and husband Dan; nephew Neil and niece Megan; lifelong friends Jimmy Brooks and cousin Terry Johnson; aunt Betty and uncle Jack Dougherty.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents.
A service to celebrate Lionell's life will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. Rockford with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 16, 2013 at Advantage Funeral Home. Burial will be in Willwood Cemetery. We miss Lionell already. Whether he was bringing us cookies, sharing a story about Oscar, or just telling us what he was purchasing at Logli's to cook, he was one of our favorite friendly faces at the pharmacy. We are so sorry for your loss, and please know, Lionell will be missed.
