Lola, Our family is so sorry to hear of your moms passing, she was a wonderful lady, and a big part of my childhood memories at Parkview. I hope you are comforted knowing she is in heaven walking with the lord, no pain, no illness, just joy and peace.

My niece, Sharon Vaughan Thomas and I were blessed to have Mrs. Thigpen (Miss O'Bier) for our first grade teacher in 1945-1946. We loved her dearly then and throughout the years. She was an extremely special person who touched many lives through her teaching. We last saw her when she attended our 50- year class reunion with her daughter, in 2007, and were so pleased that she could attend.

Lola, I am so sorry to hear of your Mothers death. I lost my mom on April 1 and I know the pain that you are feeling. I have thought of you often since I moved back to Baton Rouge. I will be praying for you.
