Gerstetter, Linda Jean (nee Freed), passed September 21, 2008, age 58, late of Channahon, IL, formerly of Glenwood, IL. Beloved wife of Robert H. Gerstetter for 38 years. Loving mother of Stacy (Zack Menzyk) Gerstetter of Steger, IL and Melissa (Richard) Mucha of Lockport, IL, cherished nanny of Stephanie Gerstetter, Lindsay Mucha, Alexis Mucha, Samantha Menzyk, and step grandmother of Miranda Menzyk. Devoted daughter of Dorothy Eileen and the late Robert Freed. Dear sister of Carol (Richard) Stedman of Lockport, IL, Robert Freed of Ft. Myers, FL, Nancy Freed of Tullahoma, TN, and the late Barbara Freed, daughte-in-0 law of Emily Gerstetter, formerly of Midlothian, IL. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Retired Registered Nurse from St. James Hospital. Resting at the Tews Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Hwy. Homewood, Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m. to St. Kieran Church, 19500 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights, IL. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment, Chapel Hill Garden South. 708-798-5300.

Freed/Gerstetter Families,
I went to Bremen with Linda, and we shared some good times together. I was looking forward to seeing her at our 40th Reunion. I was shocked to see her OB in the paper.
