Fairview Heights, Illinois - Lillian Marie Wojcik, nee Sides, age 82, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on August 29, 1939 in Perryville, MO, died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 17, 2021.
Lillian grew up on a farm in Longtown, MO and worked at the shoe factory in Perryville, MO. She met her husband of 60 years, John, through mutual, long-time friends at the Seminary picnic. Lillian was a homemaker, drove the bus for Assumption High School, and later retired from St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL after 30 years of service. In her spare time, she loved to sew. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and loved her family deeply. She was a devoted Catholic who was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church in Washington Park, Our Lady of Assumption Church in Fairview Heights, and St. Stephen's Church in Caseyville, IL.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, James Lonnie and Viola, nee Kiefer, Sides; her in-laws, John Joseph and Pauline, nee Shalapin, Wojcik; and her sister-in-law, Sue, nee Sarff, Sides.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John Charles Wojcik; her five children, Michael (Bobbi), Robert (Mary), Lisa, Thomas (Lisa), and Kathleen Wojcik; her grandchildren, Madeline (Andrew Depper), Alexander, Allison, Timothy, Olivia, Danielle, Jeffery, and Abigail Wojcik; one great grandchild, Chase Depper; and her brothers and sister, Larry, Terry (Jackie), Bill (Karen), and Wilma Sides. Lillian is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral procession will leave Kassly Mortuary at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL, with Father Harold Fisher officiating. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
