Cortese, Lillian A. "Giggie" (nee Becich) Born October 1, 1927. Beloved wife of the late Chuckie; loving mother of Mary Ann (Michael) DiVito; beloved daughter of the late Jozo and Jakica Becich; endearing Baba of Chuckie (Jamyn) Scalfaro, Michael (fiance Jennifer) DiVito, and Kica (Ante) Kosir; Stara Baba of her precious gems, Olivia and Lana; fond sister of Marion (the late Twerps) Segvich, and the late Charlie (Carmel) Begich, Jocko (Anita) Becich, Carl "Gink" Becich, and Tonka (the late Scully) Scalise; sister-in-law of Dolores (the late Scotty) Sablich; dear aunt, great-aunt and Kuma of many. Giggie was a proud and devoted lifelong parishioner of St. Jerome Croatian Church, happy and lifelong Bridgeport resident on Wells Street. Former 20 year employee of the Chicago White Sox and without a doubt their #1 fan. Original member of the Jugerettes Club, Club Poljica, the Medjugorje Prayer Group, Marion Sodality, Club Sinj, Past President of Altar Society and 20 year Chairperson of Velika Gospa. Please omit flowers. Visitation Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Jerome Croatian Church, 2823 S. Princeton. Funeral Monday at Church Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
