I loved this group and Levi could sing I saw them at the Twenty Grand Ballroom on 14th and McGraw and the Graystone Ballroom on Woodward and Canfield back in the day Matter of fact my friends and I used too walk to both of these venues. My cousin is the last original singer of the group the Contours his name is Joseph Billingslea Jr hope to meet you soon LEVI and I know your dad RIP

I came out of Vietnam in 1968 , bought a 1968 Plymouth put a eight track tape player in it and played the four tops night and day rest in peace brothers.

Levi had such a fantastic voice and the Four Tops were a wonderful group!!

I grew up listening to the Four Tops. Ask the Lonely was, is and will always be my favorite song. Whenever I hear the song; it´s as if Levi is singing it to me. You will always be my favorite singer of all times. Rest in Paradise.

WOW what a great man and singer. I’m 62 now and grew up listening to Motown in socal. This band was one of my favorites of all time and still is. Thank you Levi for all the great musics you have left us all. Much love brother!

I first heard his voice in 1965 when I was 11 years old. I loved it then, I love it now, and I listen to Four Tops music on a daily basis. He was such an amazing entertainer, a special kind of man. I'd like to thank his wife and family for sharing him with the world. He made a difference.

The greatest group there ever was. I loved them all but Levi was loved the very most. Most days I have their many songs playing and I just love to watch them live,on my tablet. My biggest regret is being born too late to see them perform. So very sad that Levi has left us, not through choice and after having lost Lawrence and Obie,life can be cruel. Rest in peace and just know I miss you.xxx

I did not know anything about Mr. Stubb or the Four Tops, until my birthday of this year. I am from a much younger generation and wasn't exposed to such beautiful music growing up. Until one day on my birthday, that I was sitting outside and heard a car passing playing "I'll Be There". Ever since hearing that song, I have been a fan ever since. I just want to share my experience, and wanted everyone to know that although Mr. Stubbs, has passed to the other side he and the Four Tops are still captivating a new fan base. Peace Love and Light to you all.

Love you man! You had the most distinctive voice imaginable in pop music! And famous people quote that you were a kind and generous man. I just listened to "Ask The Lonely" and, well, cried... but that's OK! These songs remind me of a much better time in the world, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it. Thank you for that! To the entire Stubbs Family, please accept my sincere condolences of the loss of your beloved, Husband, Father, Brother, relative, and Friend, Levi Stubbs. My Father often says that Death is a friend of to one, and although I cannot quote the scripture accurately it reads as follows: "One Day Death will be swallowed up forever, and the Lord will wipe away all of our tears". What a glorious day that will be. Many of us who remain will often recall the beauty of his voice, so let us be thankful that God, and his Son Jesus Christ loaned him to us during our own lifetime's to help us make it on those days when he cheered our hearts. Meeting Levi Stubbs at a party at Mary Wilson's house in 1972 is one of my most treasured memories. I was introduced to Levi, and the other Tops by Singer Adam Wade during the Fisher Theatre run of 'Hallelujah Baby'. I was blessed to speak with Levi at length on this occasion, and we spoke of many things, I told him of my aspiration to become a Singer, and his encouragement has lasted until this day, and specifically was a guiding light for me during my Middle Eastern tour with 'The Luciano Migliorini Dance Company'. His voice was a major influence to many, and as I listen to it these days, I continue to marvel at his vocal ingenuity. Frank Charles Dodson.

One of the greatest voices of my life, a true R&B legend. I grew up on Motown and soul music and Levi was truly, unbelievably talented. I still get goosebumps every single time I hear that clear, clarion baritone. God has that great voice now that he created in 1936 and I bet he asks to hear it regularly and often. RIP sir, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

since his voice went silent. Love the Four Tops music he'll be forever in my heat and mind a voice so powerful and raw their is none other that comes close to him. It will almost be 10 year (10/17/2018)since he went home to be with the lord. I loved the music of the Four Tops they don't make songs like that anymore. Still missing you R.I.P.

I was an 8-year old freckled face redhead in New Orleans when I first heard I Can't Help Myself and I've been a loyal fan since! My love of the Four Tops lead me into radio. Truly, one of the greatest singers that ever lived. I loved all of their classics like Bernadette, Standing in the shadows of love, Reach out for me, Baby I need you loving....I could go on and on. I went to see them many, many times and was never disappointed. I thank his family for sharing this great singer with all of us.

I grew up listening to the Four Tops. I saw them many times. In Las Vegas at the MGM I was front row center and Levi put the microphone to my face and I sang Sugar Pie Honey Bunch with him. It was so exciting. Then he sang McArthur Park Solo. His voice was amazing. God Bless him. May he Rest In Peace

I remeber as a kid growing up in the 80s my father use to play when she was my girl and blast it and as i got older music became a good point in my life oldies where great but as i got older this song just stuck with me along with alot of the four tops classics and as a 39 year old man now and my father we still listen to great songs Mr levi Stubbs and four tops made to this day thank you for great music you made and god bless you wherever you are

Huge friendly family shared stories of the family with us at the hotel that weekend. My favorites, When She was my Girl, Sugar Pie, Bernadette, and all the rest, I have them all still listen every day. Looks like I'm going to see The Tops & Temps again this November, 2016 @ The Tivoli in Chattanooga. I'll be hearing your voice as they sing. Always the Best. Your friend and fan.

For members of Levis family. I met your wonderful husband / father in the mid 90 s. It was in Knoxville and we met at the Hilton front desk. He and I were standing side by side and I introduced myself and informed him that then 5 year old son knew all of the Four Tops music. Levi started singing lines from several the most famous ones and he would ask if my son knew it and I would say yes! This went on for a few minutes and then I told Levi my son even knew "Are you man enough"! He was was touched and sang lines from it. By this time it was growing late and I told him thank you so very much. As I turn to leave Levi asked me to come back, asked me for my sons name and wrote on a piece of paper to Zachary are you man enough - Levi Stubbs I grew up in the 60s listening to four tops and was able to share that love for their music with my son and in doing so The Lord allowed me to meet and have a small private concert if you will with the one the only and the great Levi Stubbs Rest in Peace Levi. You were and will always be Man enough!
