Family-Placed Obituary

MERCER, Lester E. 71, of Springfield, died Friday November 16, 2007 in his residence. He was born December 9, 1935 in Sugarcreek, Ohio, the son of Lloyd and Esther (Smotherman) Mercer. He was a lifetime member of Northside Church of God. He retired from Morris Bean in Yellow Springs. Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years, Patricia (Kelly) Mercer; daughter, Laura; granddaughter, Ashley Linger of Dayton; sister, Lois Thoms of Palm Bay, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday November 21, 2007, with Pastor Gary Swogger, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
