What fond memories we have of one of our favorite uncles, Uncle Len. I can remember his sweet and kind face when we went to see him at his retirement home in Las Cruces a few years back. He welcomed us, and he looked like he always did back in Chicago, always smiling and making us feel so welcome. Uncle Len told us he was trusting in Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior to get him to heaven, and we were thrilled to hear of his profession of faith. We know that he is resting in heaven with his parents who have gone before. We are truly grateful he is not suffering, and enjoying the joys of heaven. I can remember as a child the wonderful times we had at his home in Cicero and Timber Lakes, especially at Christmas time. He was always so generous with his home and such good food we had!
We will keep his family in our prayers, especially, Lynette, Donna, Maureen and Kim, our cousins. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26).
Love,
Kent, Vivian & Amanda Pool

Uncle Len helped my mom and dad out when he didn't have a job. We moved from Kentucky to Addison when I was about two. My mother never forgot his kindness. I have a great picture of my dad and Len making pies. They had a bet with my mom and Antoinette that they could really bake a pie. He was the last of that generation. We miss them all.

Our sympathies to the family. Dennis has many great memories as a young man and the time he spent with his uncle Len. Of course we enjoyed time spent with him at family reunions and other functions along with one time we were able to visit and spend some time with him in New Mexico. He was a very special person.
