Leona Lukes Obituary
Leona T Lukes, 90, of Kewaunee, passed away at Kewaunee Health Care Center on Tuesday August 18, 2015. She was born on August 28, 1924 in Alaska, WI, to the late Frank and Anna (Herold) Hlinak. On August 21, 1948 she married Louis Lukes at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma. Louis preceded her in death in 1997. Leona enjoyed canning, baking bread and taking trips. She also enjoyed listening to polka music and politics on the radio.
Leona is survived by her children Linda (Bob) Koudelka, Waukegan, IL; Lorraine Lukes- Heckman and John Heckman, St Cloud, MN; Robert ( Valerie) Lukes, Kewaunee; Richard (Gay) Lukes, Luxemburg; Laura Lukes-Pelke and John Pelke, Kewaunee; Joe (fiancé Lynne Sevey) Lukes, Slovan; and Nancy Lukes, Minneapolis MN; grandchildren Natasha, Chelsea, Cody, Logan, Dan, Mike, Elissa, and Jeremy (Katie); great-grandchildren Noah, Amya, and Olivia; one sister Alice Cmeyla; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant twin children Paul and Patrick, two sisters Helen Blahnik and Julie Lawrenz, and one infant brother.
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, from 8 AM to 10 AM on Friday, August 21, 2015 (TODAY). Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at 1 PM. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com.
