Leon Wool Obituary

Sincere Condolences from my heart to the Wool Tribe. My father Guido Marchetti played college football at Drake University with Leon. They became best friends and were in contact for many years. Growing up, as the oldest of 11 children, we used to visit Evanston/Skokie & I remember the intensity of Scrabble Night @ the fun times at the Wool house. I was an aspiring gymnast & Bunnie and I would practice cartwheels in the back yard while Guido & Leon tipped over chairs watching football together. Leon always had such a big heart, and smile. I thought for a long time I might become an attorney because of Leon's great example of service. I ended up going into the Army instead. He was a great encouragement to me. I remember his generos heart and those special times with him, his wife &children. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, but believe he is in a much better place. Prayers & peace to Louis, Steven, and Imily. You were blessed to have such a wonderful father. Praying that the comfort of Yhvh would surround you all. Respectfully, Gina Marchetti

Leon and I met when I went to work at the CTA after graduating Law School. In many ways he mentored me and became a good friend. I will miss him.

We were so sorry to hear of Leon's passing. It was such a pleasure to get to know him over the last several years. Always a gentleman and a friend. I really enjoyed seeing and talking with him. Such a kind and caring man, he always took a genuine interest in others. Deepest condolences to the Wool family.

Leon was one of the kindest men I have met in my 50 years. He was a brother to my recently deceased father, Marvin. My memories of him, his mother, sons, and daughter; and of course Bunny, his incredible wife; are some of my fondest childhood impressions.

My condolences to Lou, Steve and Imily. I have not seen you all in long time, but please know I love you guys, and loved your mom and dad as much, if not more than my own. God bless the Wool's, some of the best people I could ever be luckiest enough to know.

My deepest condolences to Leon's family. Leon was a huge part of the CTA's Law Department family, and I was lucky enough to work in that department from the early 70's to the 90's. Thank you, Leon, for your generous and fun-loving spirit. You and Marv are surely reunited, having fun, and entertaining everyone in Heaven.

Leon and my husband, Marvin Luckman, were brothers by other mothers. Leon married us in our living room. I am sure the two of them are laughing in heaven about their escapades during their lifetimes. May they rest in peace and heartfelt condolences to the Wool family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am a colleague of Imily’s, and everyone who knows her knows of her loving relationship with her father. He will be missed greatly, but I hope your special memories give you some comfort.

My condolences to your family ! Leon was a colleague and the sweetest man on the bench! It was always a pleasure to run into him as he always had a big smile for everyone! I know that you will miss him as will we!

Judge Wool was one of the nicest and most decent gentleman anyone could meet. He was always happy to see old friends and new friends with a smile and warm wishes.
