Leon Breithaupt Obituary

Leon Slim Breithaupt, 81, died January 17, 2008 at his residence. Leon was born in Weimer, Texas on April 16, 1926 to Alex and Marie (Schneider) Breithaupt. A resident of Saratoga for forty-four years, he retired from Bethlehem Steel after twenty years service. Leon proudly served his country as a veteran in the United States Navy during World War II. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Flowers and husband James, Mary Hendrix, and Vickie Brown and husband Michael all of Saratoga, and Patricia Breithaupt of Baytown; grandchildren, Terri, Wendy, Michele, Derek, Brandi, Anthony, West, Misty, Wesley, Karla, Emily, Katie, Rusty and Annie; and great-grandchildren, Mayson, Casey, Kathryn, Alyssa, Corey, Russell, Mason Ainsworth, Waylon and Harley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine and son, Keith. Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Roadside Memorial Baptist Church, FM 770, near Saratoga, with Reverend Frank Aragon and Reverend Phil Love officiating. Burial will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson under the direction of Broussard's, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
