Greatly loved by all her neighbors, their children and even their grandchildren. She loved visitors and we enjoyed sharing a bowl of ice cream many times. We do not mourn her loss but celebrate her new life.

Ihave many memories of Leola Stageman, the 1st one of her coming home from work, dressed in her white nursing uniform. I had been invited for a sleepover to the home of my best friend, Sally. It must have still been WW11, as Dr. Stageman was in the army. Perhaps that was the beginning of her influence in the career direction I would choose to take, for in this, she deserves alot of credit. I would eventually get my nursing education at Harper Hosp. School of Nursing, and yes, Mrs. Stageman was a former graduate!
I could expand on many memories as Sally and I have a long history of friendship...motherly advice, her influence on our religious education, etc.,but my overall perception of this lovely lady is probably more important.
Mrs. Stageman, in my eyes, was a no nonsence lady who came from frugal beginnings and when financial success came, she never flaunted it or was particularly influenced by it. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker and never forgot her God. I wish her well in her heavenly home and I feel she will be looking down on us and still trying to spread His Word.
