Leo Benedict Obituary


Benedict, Leo beloved husband of the late Herta Benedict, died peacefully after a long illness on Monday, December 22, 2003, in Skokie, IL. He is survived by his sons, Les (Karen) and Don and close friend, Grete Greenthal. Born in Graz, Austria in 1909, Leo left for America in 1938 and served in the armed forces of the United States from 1942 to 1945. Loved by family and many friends, he was for decades a devoted member of Congregation Bnai Emunah. Services Wednesday, 12 noon, at Congregation Bnai Emunah, 9131 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Interment New Light Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Palliative Care Center and Hospice of the North Shore, 2821 Central St., Evanston, IL, 60201 or to The Selfhelp Home, 908 W.
