I met Lenore when she and James stopped by my tag sale in rural Vermont in the mid 80's. I was selling a Disney yearbook and still remember her smiling when she picked picked up the book, brought it to me and said "you can't sell this book.... I'm in this book!" Sure enough, Shultzie was prominently featured and she autographed it for me. As a young boy, it was my first brush with a celebrity!
We were pen pals for many years through my time in high school and college. Unfortunately we lost touch after college but my life is so much richer for having interacted with her through those years. Thanks Shultzie, you definitely did more than your part to make the world a better place and are dearly missed.
