I only met your mom a couple of times, when I drove out to Lombard to spend some time with you. I remember your mom busy in the kitchen making dinner. It has been so many years, since we have spoken, and would love to hear from you:

Pat and Greg,
I was so lucky to be "adopted" by the Balling family in 1958. You gave me lots of wonderful times. The grass is always greener on the other side. Pat wanted to experience life in a small family, and I wanted to spend time with a large family. We both got what we wanted. Two great families that we could both enjoy. I've missed seeing the Balling siblings and watching their kids grow up. But, as soon as Pat and I are together or talking on phone it's as though we saw each other yesterday. Pat, dear, you are the closest to a sister that I've ever had. And I love you for always accepting me as I was, no matter what. You had great parents who gave you a great start in life, and we lived wonderful lives growing up in Lombard. You made me laugh - it was the greatest. The whole Balling family is very special. I'll miss you, Lenore and Bill.
