Lenora Bell Obituary

WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Lenora Bedingfield Bell, entered into rest on Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Burke Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 24, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Waynesboro at First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Carter and Rev. Henry Erwin officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Bell, a native of Emanuel County, was the daughter of Matthew Green Bedingfield and Vannah Johnson Bedingfield. She owned and operated Lenoras in Millen, a speciality dress shop and also owned and operated the Glamour Box in Waynesboro. Mrs. Bell was very active in Waynesboro in civic and community affairs for over 40 years. Mrs. Bell was a member of First United Methodist Church in which she was a member of the United Methodist Womens Circle. She was a member of Town and Country Womans Club, The Club of Little Gardens, and was also on the board of The Community Concert Association. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Simeon Bell IV; one son, Simeon Bell V, both of Waynesboro; two daughters, Valarie Briggs Lischer and her husband, Dale of Atlanta, Mary Bell Hunt and her husband Rick of Marietta; seven grandchildren, Kathryn Bell Hunt, Emily Palmer Hunt, Richard McGowan Hunt III, Stephen Lanier Hunt, Patrick Chandler Hunt, Andrew Briggs Lischer, and Simeon Bell VI. Pallbearers will be Norman Reeves, Fred Roberts, Pat Johnson, Briggs Lischer, McGowan Hunt, Chandler Hunt, and Simeon Bell VI. DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home, 842 Liberty St., Waynesboro, Ga.
