Lena Hardison Obituary
Lena M Hardison (nee Helm), 92, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully on
Saturday, March 18th. In June of 1950 she married the love of her life, George
Hardison. She enjoyed travelling, camping, and relaxing in their retreat at Woodhaven. She belonged to and participated in Sons of Norway activities. She is survived by her daughter Diane Edwards (the late Alan); grandchildren: Nicole (Ken) Piktel; great-grandchildren: Logan and Lindsay Piktel; Geoffrey (Claire). Her sons: George (Nancy) grandchildren; George III (Lizzy), great-granddaughter Julie; and Phillip, great granddaughter Mia Will (Mary) Hardison; grandson Michael (Sammy). Great-grandson MJ and granddaughter Tess (Phillip Lux). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Cathy Hardison and niece Jenny (Nick) Nerbo and great-niece Dylan. She loved and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country. Lee had fun with her many friends at Resurrection Village. Lee loved to sing and was greatly comforted by her church family, so in lieu of flowers, please, send a donation in her honor to Christ Lutheran Church on Wilson Ave in Chicago. In keeping with her wishes all services will be private.
