Legacy Patterson Obituary

Legacy Torrence Patterson of Portsmouth, Virginia passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her father, Charles D. Patterson and mother, Marion Torrence Patterson. Legacy graduated from I.C. Norcom High school in 1990. She was a proud graduate and served as president of the alumni association for her class.

Legacy leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Andreia Lynch (Steven), Ylonda Boatright, Charissa Perkins (Timothy), and Charlotte Steward (Keith); four nieces, Leontyne' Williams (Marquis), Ashlee Lynch, Kayla Steward and Kyra Steward; a great nephew, Tyler Boatright-Williams; an uncle, Richard J. Patterson, Sr.; two aunts, Olga L. Garrett and Marie T. Ridgeway and a host of loving cousins, friends, co-workers, classmates and neighbors.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Maryview Medical Center, VCU Massey Cancer Center, Sentara Brock Cancer Center, EVMS and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. In addition, we would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Center.

A private service will be held for the family and close friends, followed by the burial at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth, Virginia.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
