Dear Dad:

I am not just your youngest daughter, but the luckiest girl in the world. I am a part of you and for that, I thank you deeply. You are not just my next-door neighbor, but my best friend. If everyone could be just a little more like you, the world would be a better place. You know how I feel about you, that is certain. All I ask is that you please continue to watch over me like you always do. I thank God you are mine.

Love you, love you, love you and even though it's hopefully a long while for me, I can't wait to be your next-door neighbor again.

With more love than you could ever dream possible,

Amy

Dear Joan and Family,

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Larry and will keep you all in my prayers as you go through the difficult time of grieving. I met some of you and Larry at St. Anne's in Hazel Crest when I taught there. I know that you were a very active family there. Please accept my sympathy.

My father-in-law Larry gave me my wonderful wife and taught me how to be a good father to my three daughters. I will never forget the little chats we had and all the advice he gave me on how to raise an all girl family. The best advice he gave me was to make sure they had room to grow and to be themselves while at the same time watching for opportunities to guide them. He also told me to do everything I could to keep Mary Colleen and his grand-daughters happy. He was a great grandfather too. He attended almost every game or activity in which my girls participated. He was just a nice man, not only nice guy, but a nice man. I only hope that I can raise my family and love my wife like he did his. God bless you on your journey Larry. Stay with me in Spirit and guide me the rest of my life. I promise to keep your daughter and grand-daughters happy and safe.
