Lawrence Paraday Obituary

Paraday, Lawrence D. "Larry" Of Lockport, peacefully on March 27, 2014. Born in Chicago, lifelong Chicago area resident. A U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Retired from Local Teamsters Union # 710 after many years of service. He was a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a dear friend to many. An avid sports fan, he had a great sense of humor, and loved spending time with his adored grandchildren who were his whole world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Paraday (2000); parents, Clinton and Lucille Paraday; three brothers and a step-grandson, Robert Fitzsimons. Survived by two devoted children, Danielle (Robert) Keska and Lawrence (Kerrie, fiancé) Paraday; four grandchildren, Brendan, Thomas and Norah Keska and Anthony Banez; brothers and sisters, Fr. Mark, Earl, Linda, Renee, Terry, Debbie, Keith, Randy and Gregory. Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Visitation for Larry will be held Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1105 E. 9TH ST. (159TH ST.), LOCKPORT with funeral services at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Rob Weierman officiating. Interment will be private.
