Bloom, Lawrence M. "Larry" Age 77, of Oak Park passed away July 5, 2013. U.S. Army Veteran. Son of the late Lawrence E. and Helen Bloom; brother of Carole Ann (John) Campbell and Mary Ann (Don) DeBruin; uncle of 9 nieces and nephews. Resident of the Oak Park Arms, formerly of the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. Retired thirty-eight year employee of the Chicago Public Library. Visitation Tuesday, July 9 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Drechsler, Brown and Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion Street, Oak Park, IL. Private Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, 405 S. Euclid Ave., Oak Park, IL 60302. On behalf of Larry's church, Euclid Ave. United Methodist, we give thanks for his friendship and wisdom over the past few years. We trust he is at peace with God and that his struggles on earth are ended. We offer our deepest condolences to his family. May they find peace and comfort in the days ahead.
