Lavinia Brown Obituary

Another year has gone by since Aunt Vene´s passing . She is always remembered by her nieces and nephew and the family of her late nephew Tom Meekin .
Her bright smile and pleasant character will never be forgotten by her loved ones in Northern Ireland . We always looked forward to her weekly long chats with Tom on the telephone (and after his death with Sally ), were "great craic" with lots of laughter .
We always exchanged St Patrick´s Day cards at this time ,every year .
Vene loved her Irish roots and never forgot them .

Still think of Lavinia often and miss sharing stories of animal rescue. She was so kind and shared her wise advice on dealing with aging. We met through our compassion for animals and I´m sure we´ll meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

I did not know Lavinia well, but we were brought together years ago by a mutual animal lover. Every year we traded Christmas cards in which we related animal stories. We were just two old ladies who loved animals and shared common health issues. I didn´t receive a card last year and again this year and missed our annual connection so went looking for a way to contact her to see if she was OK. Sadly I found this obituary instead. I´m deeply saddened at the loss of a wonderful and beautiful friend.

We are remembering dear Aunt Vene so much this week on the first anniversary of her passing . Very happy and cherished memories of an aunt who was not only beautiful physically but had a beautiful and loving character . Always remembered with love. "In Thy Presence is fullness of joy".

As the wife of Vene´s much loved nephew Tom ,(who passed away a few years before her) ,we as a family were so very saddened to hear of her passing .
She was a beautiful person both in looks and character and her loss will be much felt by friends and family in USA and Ireland .
I will miss our regular phone chats and will remember her always with great affection . She had a great love of life and was also known for her love and protection of animals .
Now reunited with her loved ones in heaven .

Vinnie was such a beautiful lady, in every way. I always looked forward to seeing her when I visited the Lansing Gospel Chapel with my husband Paul's family. God speed Vinnie! I know you are now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior!

I was Vine´ hairstylist and friend for many years. She was a joy to my day!! I already miss her so much!!

Lavina was the sweetest, kindest women I have had the pleasure of knowing. She was a patient of ours, and such a bright soul. The world will be truly miss her kindness and laughter. May she rest in peace.
