LaVerne Bollinger Obituary

LaVerne H. BOLLINGER Born in Payette, Idaho on February 8, 1918; LaVerne, 86, passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 29, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Wilma (Hisey) Bollinger and wife Elizabeth (Mohler) of 42 years. LaVerne began a lifetime career as an electrical engineer for Puget Sound Power and Light Co. in 1942. He was a quiet, strong, loving father and husband. LaVerne's building talents benefited his church community as well as his family. Many enjoyed his subtle but good sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Sheets) of 19 years; daughters, Barbara Flory of McPherson KS, Carolee Prickett of Nortonville KS and Peggy Yount of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, LaMar Bollinger; sisters, Violet Munt and Mary Flynn. LaVerne will always live in our hearts. Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 4; 11:00 a.m. at Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren, 425 N.E. 95th St. Seattle, WA. 98115.
