I was startled and deeply saddened to read in the Tribune (wonderful article though it was) of Larry's death. And I so empathize; my father suffered a similar fall.
Larry and I were acquainted through the North Shore Senior Center, serving on the Board of Directors together, as well as attending various events. He was an exceptionally gentle and gracious man, always with a big smile and warm supportive comment. We appreciated his input and support, as well as his friendship, for so very many years.
The statue that he commissioned of Carol is a real treasure to NSSC. Now, when I see it, I will think of both of them, with warmth, a smile, regret at their loss, and delight in a life so well lived.
Please accept our condolences and know we are saying thank you for such a good man.

When I was in medical school Dr. and Mrs. Rubenstein acted as a second set of parents to me. I fondly remember their support and sense of family.

Hi Nancy and family.
Helen Keller once said, "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." May your memories give you comfort and strength. We will be thinking of you and your family at this emotional and difficult time.
All our love,
