Debbie and Family,
I am so sorry for your profound loss. Larry is a strong light that keeps on shining. I hope his light will give you some comfort and peace in the days ahead.
I have wonderful memories of our families together in your home in New Buffalo. Larry's openess, friendliness and attention was alot like the open sprawling porch which provided a wonderful platform for talking, laughing and relaxing. These were precious days and days to remember.
I send you my prayers and healings....

Dear Levis Family:
I was so saddened to hear Larry passed away. I work at Williams/Gerard on the 5th floor in the same building as Larry. Yesterday, Paul Hurder, our CFO told me about Larry's passing. I used to see & talk to Larry as we both rode the Metra train. We shared a common family name as our son is also named Bennett. My wife and I met your family at Homer's Ice Cream store several years ago. You have my deepest sympathy.

Dear Levis Family,
I am so, so sad to hear of Larry's passing. I met him at Lake Forest College, and later he helped get me in the door at WFMT Radio. We lost touch after leaving WFMT, though I remember running into him at a bagel place. He was with his dad and one or two of his children. Great spirit, kind heart, good soul. Gone way too soon. I am sorry for your huge loss. He was such a good man.

Debra and family,
I knew Larry at Lake Forest College 35 years ago, and would run into him from time to time over the years. I don't think I knew anyone as infectiously positive as Larry - you just couldn't be in a bad mood when he was around. I am shocked and sad to hear of his passing, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I haven't really spoken with Larry since leaving Chicago and moving to Minneapolis in 1993. This past weekend and out of the blue, he popped into my thoughts and I thought I should reach out to him and say hello. This morning I learned of his passing from a friend and was shocked. I was unaware of his struggle with cancer and am very, very sorry to hear the news. Larry was very helpful to me when I was starting my career in radio sales and mentored me in a kind and honest way in a time when the business was very cutthroat and tough. Larry's example showed me that good and honest people can prevail and inspired me to keep going. He was truly a class act and a fine man. My very deepest sympathies to Debra, their children and extended family.

Dear Levis Family,
I met Larry over fifteen years ago. The agency did work for our company. He was gracious and professional, but more important was the warmth, kindness and joy he shared with everyone. A year or so might pass before we would speak, but when we crossed paths, it was like time had never passed. He had such an easy and infectious personality with people. I was always impressed with his love and dedication when we spoke of family. On occasion we would speak of the blessing of children and he was so proud of you all. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your loved one. He was a special person.

It is hard to think of Larry passing so young. We were co-workers at WSDM and WLUP, the Loop, in the mid 70s. It was a priviledge to get to know him. Larry was effortlessly a friendly, outgoing, and genuinely authentic person. We had a great visit in Sausalito a few years ago.
Happy trails Larry.

I first met Larry almost 35 years ago. It's hard to imagine anyone who combined so well the wonderful qualities he displayed, almost effortlessly, all the time: warmth, loyalty, intelligence, sense of humor, and much more. This is a very sad occasion, softened only by the wonderful memories he leaves for others and the indelible, positive impact he had on all he came across.
