Dear Laura, I was shocked to hear of Larry's passing. I remember him from way back when we were in school together as a really nice kid who always had a smile on his face. From all the letters I have read its apparent he was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. A true mensch who lived a wonderful Jewish life with his loving family. My deepest sympathy to your mother, brother, Larry's family & you. May Hashem give you strength & peace during this very difficult time and truely celebrate your brother's amazing and well lived life! My heart goes out to you and your family!

Dear Nanci and Family:

I was and I am still in disbelief over the loss of Larry.

I first got to know Larry in the fall of 2010. I am sure you don't know me as I was just another attorney who negotiated a lease opposite him. I work for a property owner here in Baltimore and he represented the tenant.

But Larry left an impression on me and I wanted to share it with you so that his memory and his lesson should live on.

Even though we never actually met face to face, from our very first conversation, it was clear to me the kind of person he was. I instantly felt like he was an old friend. I knew exactly the kind of person he was because he wore it on his sleeve. He was instantly funny, smart, pleasant, honest, pragmatic, sincere, and confident. I never knew him to be anything other than that. I deal with attorneys all day long and unfortunately, I don't always enjoy their company. The way a person carries himself in all aspects of his life reflects deeply on the kind of person he truly is. Sometimes, people think that when it comes to business they don't have to act like a mensch. Not so with Larry. Besides the fact that he was clearly a very good attorney, I was always impressed that he was just such a pleasure to deal with. He was an all around mensch.

I never knew he was sick until I learned of his passing. The fact that he was never ever short, testy, or irritable, despite what he was facing, makes him all that much more amazing and provides a real life lesson to be emulated. It takes tremendous strength, courage and effort to choose to live and act the way he did. We should all learn from him.

May G-d comfort you among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.

I am sorry to see the passing of such a great person. It was such an honor to meet Larry and help care for him. People often don't realize the impact patients we care for have on the lives of their nurses, our whole team truly enjoyed working with you! I smile when I think of the time I shared with Larry and Nanci, and all the interesting and sometimes silly converstions we had! I hope you find strength in God in this time of need.
Sincerely,

The twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face were the regular manifestations of a man who made innumerable contributions to so many people through his passion, humanity, dedication, humility, patience, friendship, intelligence, good humor, integrity, and deep conviction. I've not met a finer person, and our community is diminished by his absence. My condolences go to all of Larry's family members, and I share with so many a deep sense of loss and grief.

Larry was truly an inspiring, loving, honorable, committed and all around incredible person. His life should be a guide to the way most people should live their lives...with love, purpose, hope, dignity and passion. Taken from us far to soon, but his memory will be a beacon for many to follow. My sincere and deepest sympathies to Nancy and the entire family.
