Lana Eisenberg Obituary
Lana Eisenberg, nee Cohen, 81, beloved wife of Calvin for 60 wonderful years; loving mother of Jeffrey Eisenberg (Raquel Krelle), Robin Malis Stern (Gary Stern) and Andrew (Barbra) Eisenberg; cherished grandma of Michael Malis, Jordyn Malis, Bailey Malis, Daniel Malis, Avery Eisenberg, Charlie Eisenberg and Joey Eisenberg; devoted daughter of the late Mary and Jerome "Yonnie" Cohen; dear sister of Myron (the late Susan) Cohen, the late Sybil Levin and sister-in-law of Sheldon (the late Lois) Eisenberg and the late Marvin (Phyllis) Eisenberg; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; treasured cousin and friend of many. Lana was a member of Hadassah for over 50 years and was the president of the Highland Park Chapter. She was also a past board member of the Women's Division of JUF.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chicago Hadassah-North Shore (www.hadassah.org/region/chicago-north-shore), Jewish United Fund (www.juf.org) and North Suburban Synagogue Beth El (www.nssbethel.org). Funeral service Tuesday 1:00 PM at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. I will miss Lana. Her smile, her caring, her giving. As was said at the funeral, she always wanted to know about me and my family. Her laugh, smile, and genuine interest in me and my family, (she knew my children by name). How can that be?
I'll always have fond memories of Lana.
