Mr. and Mrs. Fowlkes:
My daughter, Mee-ae, followed behind Kirklinn at Sherwood in private lessons with Erica. We loved to watch him play; and although we missed him at recital this year, we appropriated a certain pride in the knowledge that he was now in college and paying for it with his precious musical gift. My husband even said that he was still the best of all of Erica's students. He was a sweet, well-mannered kid, and clearly supported and nurtured by you, his parents. I am so saddened by the tragedy and finality of his passing, and angered, I admit. I pray that you have peace, and that God have mercy on us all. This world has lost a good son.

On behalf of the men of Sigma Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. I express our deepest sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Fowlkes and their family. Kirklinn was a very talented young man. He appeared in several of our chapter's Talent Hunt Competitions and was a first place winner. We thank you for allowing us to be a part of his life. He will not be forgotten.

Heart felt condolences go out to you and the family, Mr & Mrs. Fowlkes, Kenny and Wendy. No words can adequately express how sorry I am to hear of your loss. KJ will certainly be missed. Although it has been years, I still remember what joy he brought to others in his own special way. May God be with you all during this time and may you find peace and strength to keep pressing forward. My prayers are with you all.

I am very, very sorry for your loss. In my six years at Brother Rice, there were few students that were in the league that Kirklinn was in. As a student, as a gentlemen, and as a person, he truly was remarkable. I will forever the days listening to him playing piano and talk about music.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Fowlkes & family, As my husband I have expressed to you, Kj was like a son to us. Aj and his sisters considered him their brother. We have been devastated by his leaving us so soon, but we know that God knows what's best. So please take comfort in knowing that your Heavenly Father will keep you in perfect peace and he will grant you grace to make it through until you reach the heavenly gates where you will again see your beloved son Kj.
We love you and will continue to keep you in our prayers.
Respectfully,
The Arrington Family

Ken, Wendy and family;
I extend my heartfelt condolences, but most of all prayers, support and God's grace and strenght to you and your family at this time. I know that it is hard and you will have some difficult moments, but trust and be assured that as CJ has transitioned as in the song "I Going Up Yonder" to be with the Lord, he is still with you and cherish the memories.

To the family of K.J as I know him, I pray for your healing. K.J was a friend of my son Dextavius. I knew K.J to be a nice and respectful young man. He would also say hi when he drove thru the alley or came to the house to see if Dex could come outside. Again my heart goes out to your family as well as my son because K.J's death has devasted him also. He was looking forward to being on SIUE campus with him this year.

My heart and prayers go out to the family of Kirklinn Fowlkes. I didn't get a chance to meet him but he was friends with my son and attended SIUE with my son Tyrone and they had been recording music over the summer break. It is so sad that this young man lost his life and he had so much going for him. My son is devastated and hurt over the loss of his friend. Kirklinn was a positive and kind young man. Rest in peace
