Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind.
-- Ode. Intimations of Immortality
William Wordsworth, (1770-1850)
Yeah, yeah, Kevin, I know it is so much sentimental claptrap, but it was worth quoting just to conjure the image of you laughing, rolling your eyes, and relegating it to Andrew Lloyd Webber status.
And that is how I always do and always will think of you - laughing, gently cajoling, graciously tolerating, and loyally defending. I can't help but smile when I think of you - a fitting epitaph, I hope.
Until we meet again, friend.
Fondly, and with heartfelt sympathy to your family and many, many other friends. Susan

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Kevin's friends and family. Most importantly to Gail and Terry. I had known Kevin for 35+ years going back to our high school days. Kevin will always be remembered for his brilliant mind, his loyal friendship to all who knew him, his kind and generous heart and his beautiful big blue eyes! A true reflection of his soul.
He was always there for everyone and anyone who needed him. You could depend on him for anything.
There will be a void in all of our lives, but this friend of mine will be deeply missed each and every day.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
Sincerely,
Robin McKiel

This is so painful to lose someone who’s been my friend for over 20 years. Kevin was an honest and honorable man. He was kind and thoughtful and cared about people’s feelings. He was a true friend. This is a profound and tragic loss for so many people. My deepest sympathy to everyone for our terrible loss, and most especially to Kevin’s family.
