Kevin M. Morris Sr., age 63 of Chicago, passed away November 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Durkin); Loving dad of Jane (Tim) Russell and Kevin Morris Jr.; Proud Moo of T.J. and Cece Russell; Loyal canine dad of Fredo; Dear brother of Ray (Roz) Morris, Donna (Steve) Chopik, and Mary (late Ron) LeCompte; Devoted son of the late Raymond and Mary (nee Ahern) Morris; Cherished son-in-law of the late James and Jane (nee Hall) Durkin; Fond brother-in-law of Jimmy (Lenora) Durkin, Kevin (late Rita) Durkin, Mark (Jeanne) Durkin, Brian (Sharon) Durkin, Tracey (Bill) O'Shea, Danny (Katie) Durkin, and Brigid (Dewey) Riley; Kind uncle, cousin and friend to many. Kevin was a dedicated employee of Dominick's for 31 years and Home Depot for 15 years. Visitation Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111 th St., Chicago Ridge; Funeral Friday 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christmas without Cancer, www.christmaswithoutcancer.org , would be appreciated. Morris (Kevin) was a joy to work with at HD. He was part of the "Over 50 Club", all us openers over 50 showed up every day.
I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He truly was one of my favorite coworkers.
Condolences to Joan & family for losing one of the "good guys I'm sorry I won't be at his wake, I'm still crossing the Atlantic Ocean on Harmony of the Seas. Rest in peace, Morris.
