Kevin Moran was a walking Sporting News. We went to a baseball game at Comiskey in the late 80s. Kev was the life of the stands with his witty kibbitzing. Kev could easily have handled a radio personality sports talk gig.

I just found out about Kevin today!!

We was such a good friend to Jim and

myself. He always had something funny to tell us or some "scoop".

I love to hear his laughter and see

the twinkle in his eyes.

He will be missed by so many.

This world is a lesser place without the rapid-fire laughter of Kevin T. Moran reverberating unabashedly, uncontrollably, and joyously. Often it came after a mischievous prank, but more often merely in celebration of good times with good friends.

I was privileged to get to know Kevin during our time at Marquette University. I cannot think about that institution -- nor Old St. Pat's nor Wrigley Field for that matter -- without thinking of Kevin. I think many of us will carry such constant and lasting reminders of a kind, gentle and generous friend who touched many hearts. It's a comforting thought that in these ways, he'll still be with us.

His laugh.

A cascade of giggles.

His bright blue eyes flashing below a stripe of brow.

Fingers snapping with the arrival of ideas.

The never-ending contest of the “Endless List of Useless Baseball Trivia”.

He always won.

But it was fun to play.

That car -- the Beast of Burden.

With hearts bursting with memories of The Gym & The ‘Lanche; sunny times at Kelly’s on the Green; “The Flaming Buzzard”; Cubs games.

Cubs games!

Cubs games.

Singing-screaming REM’s “I am Superman” while we drove through the night to very good times.

Unrepeatable stories –- as stories of good friends often are -- that will be repeated to the last.

Too many good memories too share here.

All cherished.

Happiest memories of shared laughs, shared smiles, shared times.

Gloriously young, happy, crazy times.

Now some details lay “Somewhere beyond the Sea”.

With hearts bursting with the happiest-craziest memories of the happiest-craziest times.

With hearts bursting to hear that laugh.

With hearts bursting.

Love, peace, gratitude and deepest sympathy to the Morans.

My Marquette memories would not be complete without Kevin. We loved to challenge each other's politics, then have a beer. His laugh and smile will be sorely missed. Almost forgot about this picture from Dave Lawder. What a wonderful moment captured forever.

Kevin was a classmate of mine at the DePaul University College of Law. He attended law school with several of his alumni brothers from Marquette University. He was a humorous individual who delighted in being a mischief maker. He was also intense and enjoyed arguing his positions. He was proud of his Irish Catholic heritage and was active as a volunteer and planner at many of the "The World's Largest Block Parties" at St. Patrick's Church. He will be missed by many.

Kevin was a gift a wonderful friend. I had the priveledge of working with Kevin through OSP Beloved Retreat program. His energy and his smile will forever be missed by my family and so many others. May his family feel the healing in the knowledge that his life touched so many at Old St. Patricks.

As big of a man as Kevin was, his heart was even bigger. His distinctive laugh. His love for history and baseball and anything Irish. I'll miss his mischieviousness and our heated debates on every number of things. He was a loyal friend. I will miss him dearly.
