Kenneth Wyer Obituary

Wyer, Kenneth B. 84, Born in Farmington, West Virginia, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, then made his home in Chicago. Passed away at home December 11, 2011 with his family at his side. Beloved husband of over 61 years and best friend of Ingrid (Pat) Wyer nee Schaughnessy; loving father of Kenneth P. (Diane), Karen (Richard), Kathleen (Jim), Kristie (Ray), and Kathryn (Kim); devoted grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 18; much loved uncle of many nieces and nephews and a friend to everyone he ever met. Always quick with a joke, he had a playful sense of humor. Survived by his sister Madeline and preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Jim. The family is especially grateful to St. Thomas Hospice for their kind and loving care particularly Julie and Barbara. Ken you finally made it! Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd.(One blk. east of Naperville Rd.) Wheaton. Prayers Wednesday 9:15 at the funeral home processing to Mass at 10:00a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church 480 S. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn. Interment private.
